Ibrahim Zahid, commonly referred to as Ibbe is known to many as a merry man with a beaming smile, and that’s how guests recognise him of course! An experienced diver, Ibbe joined Kuramathi in 2007, starting off first as a Compressor Technician at Rasdhoo Divers, where he developed a curiosity of the amazing underwater world. His inquisitiveness was later fulfilled when the operators of the dive school, Matt and Helmuth granted him with a generous offer to undertake a Divemaster course. Upon completion, Ibbe ventured into the blue starting his career as a go-happy diver, having logged a total of 2,800 dives till this day. Ibbe says he is very grateful for both of them, since they opened a window of opportunity into a new career and also a new environment he loves.
