Operating all year long, it plays a most important role in ensuring guests are aware of the correct snorkelling do’s and don’ts, offers guided snorkelling safaris and provides detailed information about this fascinating underwater world through visual presentations.

Additionally, the Bio Station conducts coral reef research, monitors the sea water temperatures and maintains a coral nursery. Specific marine education presentations are done for children through Bageecha.

The Bio Station also works closely with the local school on the neighbouring inhabited island, Rasdhoo, in promoting environmental awareness and initiatives.
